ABOUT US
Fox & Dagger Publishing, LLC is a traditional-style publishing house with an Indie heart. It was founded in 2024 by Mallory Cywinski, award-nominated author and co-founder of Dark Village Publications. Driven by a passion to help independent authors tell their stories, she developed Fox & Dagger to publish full-length fiction manuscripts in horror, paranormal, dark romance, and more.
Note: Dark Village Publications will remain operational, primarily as an anthology press with the occasional erotic title under the Dark Village Midnight imprint.
OUR MISSION
Fox & Dagger is driven to share the stories of talented fiction authors who do not have the representation of a literary agent. We will bring respect back to the author-publisher relationship and treat it as a partnership, with both sides working together for the book’s success. We will identify and produce high-quality fiction novels from new independent authors in the horror, paranormal, dark romance, and cozy paranormal genres, seeking to enhance and refine well-developed work from writers with a keen eye for evocative language and complex character development.
OUR SERVICES
We will partner with our authors to refine already well-crafted manuscripts so that they shine bright, assisting with editing, formatting, cover design, and production. We will also assist in book marketing across social media, forming a team with our authors for mutual success.
OUR FOUNDER, MALLORY CYWINSKI
Mallory Cywinski is an author specializing in book club fiction, horror, erotica, and PNR. Her books include Desperate Creatures, Twelve Months of Horror, Twelve Months of Smut, Dark Village, His to Control, and Six Troubles, Seven Sins.
She is also a graphic designer, social media manager, editor, ghost enthusiast, and a Mom. When her debut book, Making Friends with Ghosts (Beyond the Fray), was released, a fire was lit within her to provide her own publishing services, partnering with authors so that they were respected and true trust could exist in the relationship.
In the summer of 2023, she co-founded her publishing imprint, Dark Village Publications, through which several successful anthologies were released, and a community of indie authors was built. She launched Fox & Dagger in the spring of 2024 to focus on full-length manuscripts.
She holds a B.S. from Penn State University, and certifications in editing, proofreading, and social media management. She lives near Philadelphia, PA, where she drinks a lot of oat milk lattes and pets as many dogs as possible.
